We understand that plans can change, and we're here to help you make the most of your travel experience. While we are unable to directly modify the dates of a confirmed reservation, we've got two fantastic options for you to consider!
Option 1 - Refundable booking
If your reservation falls within its penalty-free cancellation timeframe and is currently refundable, you may cancel your existing reservation and rebook your preferred dates with SmarterTravel.
Your satisfaction is our priority, so it is important to be mindful of the following when considering this option:
- Be sure to review the price for your new preferred dates before canceling and rebooking.
- If you choose to exercise this option SmarterTravel won't be able to match the original rate you secured. We cannot price-match former rates for any reason and you will only be able to secure the new, extended booking for the rate advertised at the time of booking. However, we'll ensure you get the best available rate at the time of rebooking!

Option 2 - Non-refundable booking
If you would like to extend your dates of stay for a reservation that is not currently refundable, you can effortlessly do so by making a second reservation for the additional days you need directly on the SmarterTravel website.
In the Special Requests section at checkout, you can leave a note informing the hotel that you would like to stay in the same room if possible. It is important to understand that if you choose to extend your stay via this option, SmarterTravle cannot guarantee that the hotel will keep you in the same room throughout the use of both reservations. The possibility of staying in the same room throughout your stay will be fully at the discretion of the hotel.
Your satisfaction is our priority, so it is important to be mindful of the following when considering this option:
- If you choose to exercise this option and would like to stay in the same room throughout your stay, we recommend that you book the same room type for the additional dates of stay so that there won't be any discrepancy in room type with the hotel.
- Also, when you check in it is important to remind the person you are checking in with that you have two bookings. One for the beginning of your stay and one for the end of your stay. Hotels can get busy and this will help to make sure that they don't overlook anything and you will have the best possible chance of not having to change rooms.
