Do Not Rent List Policy:
The safety and comfort of our customers and hotel partners' staff are of paramount importance to SmarterTravel. To maintain a secure and enjoyable environment, hotels may establish a "Do Not Rent" list, including individuals who have violated hotel policies or engaged in disruptive behavior during previous stays.
If you have booked a reservation with us, SmarterTravel, please note we do not have previous knowledge of the confidential "Do Not Rent" list maintained by hotel partners.
Our policy will outline the procedure for handling reservations and payments from guests placed on the "Do Not Rent" list.
Any guest identified as being on the "Do Not Rent" list will not be allowed to make a standard reservation with the hotel directly and, if made on the SmarterTravel website, will follow the following procedures if you contact us in regards to a refund:
Our Procedure/Policy:
- Identification of Guests on the "Do Not Rent" List:
a. If you, as a potential guest or guest in your party, are identified as being on the "Do Not Rent" list, the Front Desk Manager and reservation agent will inform the guest upon check-in of their status.
b. SmarterTravel will contact the Front Desk Manager or a designated staff member to inquire if you are on the "Do Not Rent" list to ensure its accuracy.
c. Our hotel partners handle the details of the “Do Not Rent” list confidentially and securely. SmarterTravel will only be made known if you or a guest in your party is on the list- no details will be disclosed to our team.
d. Once established that you are on the “Do Not Rent List,” please note these reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. You acknowledged and accepted the reservation cancellation fee/policy at the time of purchase. You will not be refunded under any circumstances, including the placement on the "Do Not Rent" list.
